The importance of skill-based training in socio-economic development of the country is immense. Demand oriented skill training is an important area for productivity enhancement, employment generation and poverty alleviation. Skill development training institutes established at the government and private levels in Bangladesh are providing skill development training commercially. It is important to have uniform training curriculum based on occupation to improve and harmonize the overall quality of training conducted in all these training institutes. NSDA, under the mandate conferred by the National Skill Development Authority Act, 2018, is formulating uniform curriculum for training programs conducted across the country in various occupations/trades.

দেশের আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নে দক্ষতা নির্ভর প্রশিক্ষণের গুরুত্ব অপরসীম। উৎপাদনশীলতা বৃদ্ধি, কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টি এবং দারিদ্র্য বিমোচনের জন্য চাহিদা ভিত্তিক দক্ষতা প্রশিক্ষণ একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ক্ষেত্র। বাংলাদেশে সরকারি ও বেসরকারি পর্যায়ে গড়ে ওঠা দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন সংক্রান্ত প্রশিক্ষণ প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহ বাণিজ্যিকভাবে দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করছে। এই সমস্ত প্রশিক্ষণ প্রতিষ্ঠানে পরিচালিত প্রশিক্ষণের সামগ্রিক মান উন্নয়ন ও রিকন্সিলেশন সাধনে অকুপেশন ভিত্তিক অভিন্ন প্রশিক্ষণ কারিকুলাম থাকা জরুরি। জাতীয় দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ আইন, ২০১৮ এ প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে এনএসডিএ বিভিন্ন অকুপেশনে/ ট্রেডে দেশব্যাপী পরিচালিত প্রশিক্ষণ কার্যক্রমের জন্য অভিন্ন কারিকুলাম প্রণয়ন করছে।
